Snapdragon 888 for 5G

The debut of Snapdragon 888 is going in full swing according to the latest reports by QUALCOMM. As the microprocessor is the flagship model of the existing one and the chips will be only supplied and embedded in future upcoming flagship smartphones, the flagship SoC was announced on the eve of Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020. It has a more capable 5g modem named X60; also included a 6th gen Qualcomm AI engine. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 will deliver an upgraded photography experience with an all-new Qualcomm Spectra ISP. It has upgraded 6th gen AI engines which completely redesign the Qualcomm hexagon processor.

It also comes with a third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite gaming mobile engine with an updated GPU driver able to reach 144 FPS. It also includes next-gen spectra ISP which is able to capture photos and video up to 120 photos per second that are 35 percent faster than snapdragon 865. And at the conference, the Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun also confirmed to have the latest SoC in one of their Mi 11 and upcoming flagship phones. The Soc also has the beast level capacity to have almost 2.7 Gigapixel of image quality that too in per second which is equal to taking 120 pics in a 12 MP camera. The Snapdragon 888 will feature Qualcomm’s X60 5g modem which was announced earlier this year, which jumps to a 5nm process for better power efficiency and improvements for 5G carrier aggregation across the mmWave and sub-6GHz bands of the spectrum. This new beast chip is better and also has the performance and power efficiency compared to any of the previous generations of the snapdragon which also includes snapdragon 875.
