AR (Augmented Reality) Doesn't support all the devices there are some limitations in the support devices certain AR hardware compatibility is most required for the device to support the AR-related applications. The AR-related main hardware are the Motion Tracking System, Camera,  CPU (mostly Snapdragon is the best for AR and then comes Exynos and for MediaTek, the only high end is best for the AR and low ones are not at all supported ), GPU, Supported ABIs and OpenGL ES version. There are two SDK types in AR 1. ARCore for Android devices and 2. ARKit for iOS devices. 

            To specify more about the device support refer to the best device to support the AR application ( as directed by Google site )
